Weekly YES Quote!
“Just remember, once you’re over the hill you begin to pick up speed.”

In last week’s post I reflected on two weeks of personal hardship (read the post here: 3 August 2020 – Manage the Stress).
And while I did manage the stress this past week, I still feel very emotional towards the changes that I’ve begun to embrace, and well… ultimately the changes are right around the corner whether or not I’m ready or willing to dive headfirst into whatever newness is waiting for me.
The above thought brings me to this week’s yes post: “take the plunge.”
For what else can I do?
I guess I could sit around and mope, feel sorry for myself, and cry until my tear ducts plugged and my eyes run out of fluid.
Or I could jump around jovially, tell myself everything is going to be absolutely spectacular, and do ten burpies in a row because why the heck not!
But truly… knowing me and who I am… I’ll take the plunge into this next chapter using a combination of the two while focusing on creating a balance that satisfies and soothes my soul.
For if I was only depressingly sad or only blissfully happy I wouldn’t truly be taking the plunge I want and need for myself.
We’re each looking for our way in this life.
And if we let these seemingly monumental occurrences blockade our paths and don’t permit ourselves room for growth and change, then we’re doing ourselves a disservice in this life.
How you take the plunge is entirely up to you.
What plunge you take is also entirely up to you.
You are the captain, first mate, and crew on your life journey. You have all the power and resources you need in order to be successful.
But you have to take the plunge no matter how difficult or impossible it may seem.
I’m not ready to live without Nick. I’m simply not. But I won’t let the fact that he’s not in the other room across the hall stop me from living the life I was meant to lead.
My heart is still sad, heavy, but strong.
What’s been nagging at you lately?
We’ve all been faced with the requirement to change our daily lives due to the pandemic we’re all still dealing with and will always continue to deal with.
Maybe that’s your biggest hurtle at the moment.
Or, perhaps, you’ve encountered a new obstacle in your path as I have that’s preventing you from achieving your desired happiness.
I challenge you this week to identify what in your life is making you unhappy.
I challenge you this week to identify what changes have occurred that have otherwise upset your comfortable lifestyle.
I challenge you this week to identify what longtime issues you’ve ignored, backburnered, and otherwise chosen not to face headfirst to eliminate their nuisance.
I challenge you this week to open yourself up to the possibilities you have in front of you because of the unhappiness, discomforts, and nuisances.
Take the plunge! Take on your life!
Take this as an opportunity to grow and get better.
Take this as an opportunity to do more with the talents you possess.
Take this opportunity solely for you.
You are the number one person in your life. You are the center of your universe.
If you’re unhappy, uncomfortable, or holding back… you’re do you a disservice more than anything else.
So take the plunge this week!
I’ll be there taking the plunge with you hand in hand.
Reminder to Just Say Yes!
As always, say yes to experiences that present themselves to you! Life is full of fun and wonder – don’t be stuck at home wondering what life could be like, should be like, would be like… drop that nonsense! Get out there, say yes, and never look back!
